Joe Gold

Joe graduated from York University with a Psychology degree and from Brock University with an Education degree. He spent five years backpacking around the world to places like Australia, New Zealand, Costa Rica, Thailand, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal and the UK. He spent time a year teaching in schools in Oxford, England.

He is actively involved in Temple Sinai. He was part of the search committee for the current education director. He was on the Young families committee for five years helping with the organizing and coordination of theme days and Holiday activities for children. He also volunteers at a variety of synagogue events.

Joe is the director of Banbury Kids Camp and is looking forward to his 16th year next summer. Banbury is not-for-profit summer camp for children ages 3-8 located at York Mills and Leslie at the Banbury Community Centre.

Joe has worked in education for 18 years and is presently an elementary school principal in the York Region District School Board.
