Temple Sinai Congregation of Toronto

Anthony Meles

When my family was looking to join a synagogue many years ago, we tried out the Tot Shabbat program with my toddlers. I quickly learned that Temple Sinai was the place for my family because of the warm welcome and strong sense of community here.

Over the past several years, I have become more active in the community. I have participated in focus groups, hosted a wonderful ShinShinit in 2019, and became the lay leader for the ShinShinim program at Temple. Last spring, I co-chaired the High Holy Days Task Force; our goal was to develop community events for Rosh Hashanah that would bring our members together at Temple.

Working as a middle school teacher with two young kids of my own, I feel I can represent the young family demographic well at Sinai. As a member of the Board of Directors, I would work collaboratively to help keep Temple Sinai the wonderfully warm and welcoming community it has been for my family.
