Temple Sinai Congregation of Toronto

Aimee Israel

Aimee Israel has been a member of Temple Sinai for over four decades and Temple has been part of her family’s identity dating back three generations.

Aimee graduated from the University of Western Ontario with an LLB and has worked as a corporate lawyer, both at Borden Ladner LLP and in-house at Cadbury Trebor Allan Inc. Fifteen years ago, she stepped away from a legal career to try her hand as an entrepreneur. She co-founded a health and wellness company which delivered expert-led digital content to over 15 million people across North America. In 2008, she was named one of PROFIT Magazine‘s Top 100 Female Entrepreneurs.

In her current role, as Director, Special Projects and a member of the Senior Management Team at Jack.org (a national non-profit training and empowering youth to revolutionize mental health), Aimee focuses on mergers and collaboration opportunities, vendor relations, technology infrastructure and project management.

Aimee has served on the boards of the Mood Disorders Association of Ontario and Partners for Mental Health and is on the founding board of Shadow Light, an organization founded to enable people of all ages, especially students, to connect to the Holocaust and inspire them to make a positive impact in today’s world.

When she is not working, she can be found on her road bike with friends or on the dock in cottage country with her husband Alex and three wonderful children.
