Adam Dean

Adam is delighted to join the Board of Temple Sinai. He and his family have been members of the synagogue for more than 40 years. Most recently, Adam worked alongside the Executive in respect of important congregational initiatives relating to engagement and growth.

Outside of Temple, Adam has enjoyed a multi-faceted career. After a decade in investment banking at CIBC, Adam joined the global financial services practice of Egon Zehnder, prior to establishing his own Search firm, Dean Executive Search. DES specializes in senior-level financial services & investment mandates. Rooted in competency-based assessment, DES delivers personalized, high-impact executive search counsel to leaders at corporations, investment banks and private equity firms.

Adam’s approaches to best practices have been published in the Harvard Business Review, MIT Sloan Management Review, Barron’s and Inc. Magazine. He also appears regularly in Canadian media.

In addition to connecting clients with inspiring leaders, Adam is actively involved in cancer fundraising and awareness efforts, and currently serves as Advisor to the Board of Directors of the Terry Fox Foundation. Separately, Adam is a founding partner of Baycrest@Home, a service-offering focused on addressing the gaps left by traditional home care. An avid tennis player, he also chairs the expansion committee of North Toronto Tennis Club (NTTC).

Adam holds an MBA from Ivey Business School, an M.S. from Northwestern University and a B.A. from Western University. He is also fluent in French.

Adam and his wife, Alexis, have three beautiful sons, Hudson, Ryder & Beckett.
