  • Judaism and Science — What can they learn from each other? With Rabbi Lawrence Englander

    Wednesdays, November 13 to December 4 at 7.00 p.m.

In the past century alone, enormous advances have taken place in the scientific understanding of our world. Is it possible for religion — Jewish tradition in particular — to keep pace?

To address this question, we’ll take a look at the following topics:
    • The Big Bang and Creation: Is there room for God?
    • Quantum physics: How does it change our understanding of reality?
    • Medical ethics: What does Jewish law say about medical assistance in dying (MAID)?
    • The laws of thermodynamics and immortality: What happens when we die?
