What Our Members Say...
Since joining the Temple Sinai Ensemble Choir about five years ago, I’ve made some wonderful new friends. Singing together, under the direction of the talented and charismatic Charles Osborne, we’ve shared many moving and spiritual moments as well as moments of hilarity and fun. Music draws people together and gives us the opportunity to communicate without words. I treasure our Tuesday evening rehearsals and the wonderful performances we’ve had the privilege to participate in.

Many participants in Canasta Connections are lifelong Temple friends with whom we have socialized for decades. But we’ve also met some new people. We’re learning something every week as we become better at the game. I do wish more men would join us! I’ve mentioned Canasta Connections to a few guys, but no takers yet. Its lots of fun and it’s certainly a new experience being the only man among the participants.

As a Saturday Library volunteer, I have rekindled so many “old” friendships from school, politics and the community. Temple Sinai has become dynamic this past twenty years—diverse opinions, challenges for our younger members, shared programs that delight young and older members and a rabbi who is “with it”. On their way to the sanctuary, members pass the library, where meeting and greeting is much fun. It’s been over 30 years of just saying “hello”.

Spanish Connections gave me the opportunity to meet a variety of terrific people. I feel part of a community that resonates with me and my family. It has led me to become more involved in the synagogue’s many events.

As a recent retiree, I was interested in participating in new activities and became aware of the Pilates Connections class through a fellow Temple member. The class appealed to me as something I could participate in, not only to improve my own well-being, but also as an opportunity to connect or reconnect with like-minded Temple members. The class has exceeded my expectations, and I thoroughly enjoy being involved in this program.
