Paint Party for Young Families The Calanit
August 9, 2020 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm
The Calanit or Anemone is Israel’s National flower. Calanit comes from the Hebrew word cala, which means ‘bride’. Whenever anyone visits the northern Negev, the Calanit welcomes them with their beauty and majesty. It is a type of a poppy flower that is most commonly red, but it can also be purple, magenta, or white!
The inspired original painting by Ashley, which you will learn, symbolizes that anyone can choose whichever colour they would like to paint to help beautify their home and Israel. You too can paint this scene with your loved ones with step-by-step instructions from Ashley.
You will learn: Basic instructions on using acrylic paints, how to mix colours, how to plan out and paint a landscape scene and brush techniques
Good to have: A big flat brush, a medium round brush, a small brush, acrylic paints, a palette, a canvas, a cup of water and a cloth
But you don’t need it all! You can use pencil crayons, or crayons, paper/cardstock, a gift bag, or a cardboard box.
