Narratives of Hardships: The Indigenous History Most Were Never Taught

April 30 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Narratives of Hardship Continued: A Tikkun Olam initiaive

In Person
Sunday, April 30 at 11.00 a.m.

In 2019, Rabbi Daniel Mikelberg and Kim Wheatley (an Anishinaabe Ojibway member of Shawanaga First Nation Reserve), began a journey together through Shared Narratives of Hardships – United Hope for Healing.

Now in 2023, our Tikkun Olam Initiative will continue that journey with the first of a 4-part, in-person program series that kicks off with “The Blanket Exercise” on Sunday, April 30 at 11.00 a.m. (future dates in the series to come later in the year).

“The Blanket Exercise” will deepen your perspective and understanding of the Canadian Indigenous experience (most were never taught in school) by actively engaging you in a walk-through, from pre-contact and treaty making, to colonization and resistance.

This Adult Engagement program is free and open to all Members.

Space is limited to the first 40 participants.
