Come together to learn from members with expertise in many different areas and contribute your own expertise too! This month, we will hear from Temple member, Terry Shane, about Distributed Ledger Technology. Terry will explain the underlying principles and applications behind the technology and why they will be so important in our increasingly digital lives. Terry’s simple explanations will make this sometimes mysterious topic accessible and interesting for anyone who wants to understand what the future will look like.
Terry Shane, a pioneer in the early days of the Internet, has owned and operated successful software companies in Toronto for over 30 years. Terry is fascinated by new technologies and first became interested in the potential for Distributed Ledger Technology and cryptocurrency in 2016 – he believes this technology will change the fabric of our daily lives as surely as the web has done in the last two decades.
