Dr. Anna Ballon, PhD, MSc, BSc, has held multiple senior leadership positions across the health care sector in acute care, rehabilitation, and community settings. She has expertise in health system management, program development, accreditation, quality assurance, entrepreneurial growth, and policy evaluation. Dr. Ballon worked the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care where she has analyzed home and community care policies and practices for seniors and individuals with complex needs. She is a clinician by background, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy. She also has a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Medicine and a Doctorate degree in Health Policy Evaluation and Management.
Following a successful presentation of a business case, Anna is involved in overseeing a multi-million re-development at Baycrest. This redevelopment will focus on creating a refreshed environment for residents and a new continuum of clinical care. She recently co-authored a grant that was awarded $1.2 million to research a functional memory program.
