Cantor Sharon Brown-Levy has more than two decades of experience and two certifications with distinction in cantorial arts, through the American Conference of Cantors and the Cantors Assembly. She also has extensive experience in the genres of opera, operetta, Broadway, folk, contemporary, and big band music.
She holds summa cum laude degrees in Spanish and Voice from the University of South Florida and was class valedictorian of Gratz College in her native Philadelphia.
Prior to arriving in Toronto, she has held pulpits in Florida, New Jersey, and Wisconsin.
Her concert career spans the US and abroad. She is also a respected choral conductor, co-leading one of the country’s largest community interfaith choirs, Voices in Harmony.
She is a devoted parent, wife, teacher, linguist, and community builder. She is married to Eytan Levy (a rabbi’s son) and they have one son, Mattan.
