Our teen Israel experience goes forth every other year for Grades 10-12.

Upcoming Programs

Fall 2023

WALLAH!?! (Grades 4 to 6)

This Israeli slang word is exclaimed after hearing something wonderful and unbelievable (Really!?! or WOW!?!) Our youth have such a wonderful time together, they asked for extra events.

What a sight to see our kids in grades 4, 5 and 6 laughing and playing together. Youth groups at Temple Sinai are an engaging way for your children to build their Jewish community and Jewish identity through entertaining activities inside and outside of Temple.

“The Maple Leafs won the Stanley Cup.” WALLAH!?!

“I just saw a bush on fire and it did not turn to ash.” WALLAH!?!

“Seventeen kids bounced, flipped, leaped and jumped together at SkyZone.” WALLAH!?!

Junior Youth (Grades 7 and 8)

Calling all members in Grades 7 and 8! You are enthusiastically invited to join us for an exciting year. Once a month, on Tuesday nights before religious school, we will have lounge night, so come out to play, eat, and schmooze. Join us for the many exciting events we have planned. Do you have a great idea for an event? Let us know!

Young members will learn about events at religious school as well as online. All information for parents about these events will come via flyers in the mail and Chadashot.

Grades 7 and 8 are full of excitement pertaining to bar/bat mitzvah; whether before, during, or after this momentous occasion, Junior Youth Group is an opportunity to experience fun programming with other Jewish young adults.

League of Temple Sinai Senior Youth (LOTSSY) (Grades 9 to 12)

Come and take part in all that LOTSSY has to offer. We have many great events planned, like our Shul-in and a trip to Horseshoe Resort. If helping others is your passion, come and take part in our social action outings. They are a great way to get involved and make a difference in your community. Come have fun and learn about your heritage. Tell us what you want. Make it happen. Join today!

IN-PERSON

Join us on Tuesday, October 3 at 5.30 p.m., for the first LOTSSY Loft of the new year. Come eat, catch up with friends you haven’t seen all summer, schmooze with our clergy and fulfill the mitzvah of shaking the lulav and etrog.

Looking forward to seeing you!

What our youth say...
At Temple Sinai, I have met a lot of amazing people and made many new friends. Temple provides a great learning experience, whether it is learning about Jewish life, volunteering or working.

I like participating in the youth group, LOTSSY, especially the social action events like making sandwiches for the homeless or visiting youth at a group home. There are also many volunteer opportunities available.

The education program at Temple Sinai provides great Jewish learning in a warm and welcoming environment. While the kids complain about going (as is the wont of Jewish children since time immemorial), they leave Hebrew school excited about their progress and come home with both art projects and stories to share.
