Join the Young Families Committee
The warm, energetic and committed members on the Young Families Committee are always thinking up new ways to provide our children with dynamic Tot Shabbat evenings, good food, and exciting entertainment at our many festivals and events. The Committee invites you to create positive Jewish memories for our children and our community.
Don’t feel you have time to be on a committee? We also need members to help out for specific events — Chanukkah party, Purim Carnival, and Yom Ha’Atzmaut celebrations. Lend a hand for just one event.

Message from our Co-Chairs

Welcome to Young Families, a place to call home for families with children 10 years old and under. We offer social, religious, and educational programs during which children and their parents can make lasting friendships and create happy Jewish memories in and out of Temple.

An important function of our synagogue is to offer you a place to worship. One of the most enjoyable ways to worship is to experience prayer with your family. Temple offers a variety of worship experiences for families.

Bring your children to pray any Shabbat morning and they can use our child-friendly version of our prayer book. The pages have the same prayers as the regular siddur, but the sidebars have games, questions and teachings that will keep your child interested and engaged in the service. Come check it out!

Havdalah
Our in-home Havdalah services are a large part of our programming this year. Once a month on a Saturday evening come celebrate the end of Shabbat with your Temple family. We share a potluck dinner followed by Havdalah. This is a great time for families to reflect and to spend time enjoying the company of others with young children. It is also an opportunity to introduce traditions and to make new friends. Join us from 5.00 p.m. to 7.30 p.m.

Tot Shabbat Dinner
Families, especially those with children 7 and under, have always enjoyed our Tot Shabbat dinners and services.
Enjoy the warmth of the Shabbat candles and lively music. This service is specially designed for families with children ages 7 and under. Registration is required for the dinner.
