Jeffrey Singer has been a life-long member of Temple Sinai, his family’s roots extending to our founding members including his Great Uncle Saul Wolf z"l (among the first presidents of Temple Sinai) and Great Aunt Gerry Wolf z"l. Mr. Singer is a partner in the law firm Stikeman Elliott LLP and member of the firm's Executive Committee and Partnership Board. He has an internationally recognized market leading practice focusing on domestic and international mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate finance and private equity related transactions.
Mr. Singer served on the Securities Advisory Committee to the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC), a committee of senior securities lawyers who provide policy and other guidance to the OSC. He is the Canadian contributing editor to the International Finance and Law Review and Federated Press' Corporate Finance and Innovative Financing publications. He has spoken domestically and internationally on capital markets, M&A and private equity, and has also lectured on these and related topics at each of the University of Toronto Law School, Osgoode Hall Law School, Windsor Law School and the Law Society of Upper Canada. Mr. Singer has been featured in a variety of media including, among others, the Globe and Mail, National Post, Toronto Star, CBS Newsworld, Financial Executive Magazine and CFO Magazine, as well as the Business News Network.
Mr. Singer is a current or prior director of the Canadian Association of Income Funds, DayTrippers Children's Charity, Environmental Defence Canada, Eva's Initiatives, Junior Achievement Canada, JACs and Temple Sinai Congregation of Toronto, in addition to various other philanthropic endeavours. He was recently awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for dedicated service to his peers, the community and to Canada.
