Mariana Catz brings over 20 years of transformational leadership in the not for profit, public and private sectors. She is currently Chief Program Officer at UJA Toronto where she oversees a portfolio of over $40M in local, Israel and overseas allocations. 

Previously, she was Chief Operating Officer at the Ontario Trillium Foundation, Canada’s largest foundation. In that role, she architected and led the successful transformation and implementation of the largest evidence-based and outcomes-based granting methodology and associated systems.

She began her career at the Ontario Ministry of Health as Policy Associate in the Long-Term Care Division with the Special Advisor to the Minister. She was the founding Chief Information Officer at Baycrest Geriatric Center and the Center for Addiction and Mental Health. She was appointed Chief Advisor for eHealth for Health Canada in Ottawa, which led to the creation of Canada Health Infoway. She went on to become Infoway’s first Vice-President, Knowledge Management based in Montreal where she also led the Business Intelligence and Privacy portfolios.

She brings a global perspective having been a Partner at Accenture Inc., where she worked in transformation, strategy, efficiency and health informatics internationally. Prior to that, she was a Technical Officer at the World Health Organization in Geneva where she worked with a global team to develop the International Classification System of Disabilities and Handicaps.

Mariana has a Masters in Health Science from the University of Toronto and is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation
