Lorne, an experienced health care executive and consultant, is president of Zon & Associates. He has led health organizations through strategic and organizational renewal. Lorne is also a recognized expert in health policy and health services planning. Lorne has been an innovator by implementing Ontario’s first regional strategic health plan; first regional health system report card and Ontario’s first hospital restructuring plan. His areas of specialty include organizational renewal and transformation; health services planning; effective governance; strategic planning; facilitation and mediation and project design and management.
Since 2005, Lorne has served as an Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Health at York University. Prior to that, he was an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto.
As a volunteer, Lorne is currently the chair of the Bernard Betel Centre and is a board member of Eli’s Place. He has served as chair of the Regional Geriatric Program of Toronto and has been active on several not-for-profit boards.
Lorne has been a member of Temple Sinai since 1977.
